Description

Speech Language-Pathologists (SLPs) provide a range of services to support students with speech, language and communication needs within the educational setting. Working with teachers, other professionals, parents, and students, SLPs enhance and adapt programming to enhance learning opportunities and success for students.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Current knowledge of best practices in the area of speech-language pathology and disorders including assessment, intervention and consultation methods in relation to child and adolescent communications disorders
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with a wide range of client groups and understanding of how to deliver culturally responsive services to a diverse group of clients
Effective communication and collaboration skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
Superior case management tracking, documentation, writing and reporting skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills, in order to provide appropriate information on an informal or formal basis regarding speech, language and hearing programs
Knowledge of professional standards and ethics of the Saskatchewan Association of SpeechLanguage Pathologists and Audiologists

Qualifications: Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Registered with the Saskatchewan Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists
Minimum 2 years experience
Experience working in the education sector is an asset

Working Conditions: As per Conditions of Employment (non-union)
Equivalent of 1.5 FTE available
Full-time hours would be 8 hour work days, 40 hours a week, 10 months per year (as per school calendar)
To commence as soon as possible
Salary starts at $64,951.00 annually
Daily travel to schools is required and occasionally to Regina and/or Saskatoon, using a system fleet vehicle where possible or with mileage paid for use of personal vehicle
