Description

The City of Moose Jaw is seeking to fill our part-time Webmaster position. Under the direction of the Assistant Manager of IT, the Webmaster's primary responsibilities are the management of website content and ensuring that the City of Moose Jaw provides functional and efficient websites to the public and its employees.  

This position will perform the following duties:
-    Work closely with City departments and the City's Communications Manager to manage the content of the City's public websites
-    Ensure the functionality and efficiency of City websites across different browsers
-    Perform back-end website maintenance, maintain effective documentation and ensure that proper backups are kept
-    Work with staff to help support and maintain internal sites
-    Improve websites through site design improvement and functional enhancements

Qualified candidates will have education and experience obtained through the completion of a post-secondary certificate in a related field, along with 3 years' experience managing and developing websites and content. Additionally, preferred candidates will possess:
-    Proven experience as a webmaster or web developer
-    Working knowledge of website management tools and web hosting platforms
-    Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
-    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and able to generate creative ideas

The position is less than full-time working .5 full-time equivalent.
