Terms of Employment: Part Time, Weekends, Weekday Evenings
Salary: DOE
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Communiskate Arena, Emerald Park
Skill Requirements: Would prefer Bldg & Ice maintenance experience
Education: Grade 12
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate, Valid driver?s license (Class 5)
Experience: Experience in ice rink maintenance preferred.
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Ice Arena
Ice Maker Specific Skills: Operate machines(ice edger/Olympia) to clean, smooth and prepare ice surfaces
Work Site Environment: Indoor
Essential Skills: Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Job task planning and organizing, dealing with the public and self-motivated, punctual and reliable
Other Information: Monitor activities and enforce facility rules, Removal of garbage, recycling, Ensure entrances are free from snow, Operate ice resurfacer, Assist preparation and removal of ice surfacing
