Description

Brandt is a diverse manufacturing and distribution company that makes equipment for contractors, farmers, landscapers, loggers, manufacturers, miners, pipeliners, railways, roadbuilders and steelmakers.  As part of our commitment to making our customers more productive and profitable, were investing heavily in new product development.  That commitment includes new facilities, including our multi-million dollar engineering center in Regina set to open this year, new equipment, software, training and hiring more great people.

Were looking for a Product Planner for our Attachments Product Line.  This includes a very wide variety of attachments for all forms of general construction and forestry equipment, as well as some specialized oilfield, mining, rail and manufacturing attachments. This is a unique, ground floor opportunity to shape the vision for Brandts products for years to come.
  
Duties
    Collect, analyze and interpret market data from variety of sources
    Understand industry trends, customer and dealer needs
    Identify current product gaps and weaknesses
    Develop and pitch ideas for new products and model updates
    Develop long term R&D plan for product line
    Plan and help deliver Product Training during the launch of new products.

Qualifications
We want a candidate who has experience in this or a similar industry and has a good equipment background as either a user, mechanic, designer, sales/marketing or manufacturing role.  The ideal candidate does not need an engineering degree or training, but will have:
    A passion for equipment and learning how customers use it
    Experience in direct use of the product, sales, design, customer support or manufacturing
    Excellent organization & communication skills  written and verbal
    Ability to work at all levels and departments
    Understanding of business and product financial metrics
    Ability to travel 1 week per month if needed.
