Description

The Service Advisor assists customers with their repair and scheduled maintenance service requests.  They help to ensure the vehicle is fixed right the first time by accurately documenting the customer concern on the repair order.  The advisor also consults customers on needed scheduled maintenance repairs and rebooks appointments.  They review the root cause and corrective repair action with the customer during vehicle delivery.  The Service Advisor also assists the Service Manager by distributing work to technicians, accurately maintaining repair records, supporting promotional activities, monitoring labor inventory, complying with the safety and environmental programs and practices, and any other duties as assigned. This position is eligible to be a committee member of the OH&S Committee.

Requirements:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
College or automotive/vocational training preferred.
Two (2) years in an automotive service environment is preferred.
WHMIS 1988 & WHMIS 2015 required.
Valid drivers license required.
Advanced computer skills an asset.
Excellent time management, ability to multitask, and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:    
Using a computer to look up information and write up orders.
CSA Approved hard-toe shoes required.
Working on concrete floors.
Using physical and manual dexterity.
Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted.
Using equipment consistent with industry standards.
Driving a vehicle and maneuvering trailers.
Clean, spacious department that the employee is responsible to maintain.
