Northland Building Supply, a major retailer of Lumber, Construction and Hardware supplies in Melfort, seeks a qualified individual for the immediate opening of full-time Foreman.
This is a leadership position requiring the successful candidate to have a minimum of 5 years experience and a thorough understanding of the construction industry and its terminology. This position is also responsible for supervising the yard crew and the functions of shipping and receiving for the company.

Key responsibilities of the position include:
    Supervises all activities of the yard including yard employees, equipment, vehicles, deliveries, shipping and receiving, yard housekeeping and maintenance of all yard equipment and delivery vehicles.
    Arrange for training of all yard personnel and drivers including forklift and other equipment, vehicles and maintaining a culture of safety.
    Perform minor repairs on all equipment and vehicles.
    Supervise yard inventory, special inventory and maintain adequate inventories of yard products.
    Maintain security.
    Ensure effective operation of the Yard Team, interpreting and communicating standard work, philosophy and policies to staff and ensuring adherence to pertinent policies and work standards.

Salary range for this full-time permanent position is dependent on experience and qualifications.  We offer a comprehensive benefits package and profit sharing.
