Description

A position is available for a Architectural Technologist.  
Responsibilities include:
- actively pursuing new customers and opportunities
- maintain a positive relationship with customers
- work with design/build clients to develop preliminary plans and layouts
- use of computer aided design and drafting system (AutoCAD) to prepare drawings
- code review on Design/Build Projects
- calculating estimates for new construction, renovation and repair projects
- co-ordinate and expedite resources needed for the project in the volumes and margins required
- prepare progress billings and final invoicing and ensuring successful project close-out
Our successful applicant will:
- have a high level of understanding of the National Building Code and experience in Code Review
- complete accurate, consistent estimates for competitive tenders and negotiated work
- conduct preliminary pursuit of design build projects with new and existing clients
- find and cultivate contacts among potential and existing customers for the purpose of generating new work for the company
- maintain a positive working relationship with customers, subcontractors and superintendents
- engage the project team to deliver building projects on time, under budget and of superior quality
