Applications are invited for a full-time temporary (8 hours/day) Caretaking position in the North East School Division with placement at Tisdale Middle & Secondary School. This position is to commence November 27th, 2017 and concluding on February 14th, 2018 with the possibility of an extension. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 3:30 p.m. 11:30 p.m.
Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 10 education and Grade 12 or equivalent is preferred
Direct experience in the caretaking field would be considered an asset.
Demonstrated understanding of cleaning procedures, cleaning processes, products and equipment
Knowledge of computers and applicable software similar to those utilized by the school division
Knowledge of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
Fireman's Certificate would be considered an asset
Knowledge of the cleaning and minor maintenance of school buildings and grounds
Good organizational skills
Commitment to task completion.
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Must be physically fit and able to handle various tasks involving lifting, bending, twisting, turning
Be willing to join the Local CUPE 4875 union
