Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful candidates will be part of a team of technicians installing fibre optic cable in multi dwelling units properties. Technician should be able to work well with hand tools, power tools such as cordless drivers, hammer drills etc.  Duties of the technician include:
    Maintaining a safe and clean worksite
    working on your feet for most of the day
    fastening moulding to walls and ceiling
    working on step ladders, climbing stairs
    drilling/coring holes through walls and floors made of wood and concrete
    pulling and placing fibre optic cable -keeping its delicate nature in mind
    terminating and testing fibre
    interacting with building residents, building managers and public in a professional manner
Technicians will be responsible to provide their own transportation to worksites. They will also be required to have several of their own items including basic hand tools and safety footwear (a complete list will be provided to successful candidate prior to hiring).
Successful candidates must have the following prior to hiring:
1.    Standard First Aid
2.      Criminal Background Check
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Previous hands on work experience
PREFERRED SKILLS
Telecommunication or electrical wiring experience
