Description

Reporting to the Canadian Sales Manager, the Sales Engineer is responsible for profitably grow sales of Littelfuse industrial products, including protective relays, fuses, and custom-engineered electrical equipment in region of responsibility through technical consultative selling techniques.

The incumbent is expected to provide technical and commercial support of Littelfuse industrial products for customers consisting of reps, distributors, OEMs, consultants, and end users in the assigned territory. This support is in the form of customer site visits, telephone, email, and other remote support. The support includes communication of customer needs to the Sales Manager and product-development suggestions with preliminary market analysis. While Littelfuse Startco's office is in Saskatoon, this role can be done remotely from a different location.

About the Job:

Execute existing corporate strategic growth initiatives (SGO) in region.
Become single-point-of contact for communications in assigned territory.
Provide in-depth product expertise to assist customers, designers, integrators, and distributors in identifying applications for Littelfuse products.

About You:

Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and be eligible for registration with the local Professional Engineer Association.  
Interaction with engineer customers and comprehension of technical issues is a fundamental requirement of all levels.
Possess outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills.
Excellent writing abilities.
3 to 5 years of technical sales experience.

The successful candidate shall be subject to a Criminal Background Check as a condition of employment. All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with Littelfuse policy.
