The instructor is responsible for instructing all aspects of the Power Engineering Technology program. The courses include, but are not limited to: Applied Mechanics; Air Conditioning; Basic Electricity; Technical Communications; Heating Systems; Intermediate Algebra and Trigonometry; Introduction to Microsoft Word and Excel; Instrumentation; Legislation and Codes; Plant & Process Operations; Plant Maintenance; Power Lab; Prime Movers; Process Simulators; Pumps, Compressors, and Lubrication; Refrigeration Systems; Safety; Steam Generation; Technology Seminars; Thermodynamics; and Water Treatment.
Additional duties include: classroom management; taking attendance and submitting on a regular basis; monitoring student progress and submitting reports on a regular basis; and other duties as assigned.
The minimal qualifications for this position are: Certified First, Second, or Third Class Power Engineering with 2 years of related experience; and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
