Melville SARCAN Recycling Bottle Depot Assitant Supervisor

The Assistant Depot Supervisor works under the direction of the Depot Supervisor in a large depot (over 3 million containers, 5 - 12 core staff, up to 15 - 20 during peak periods) and acts as the first point of contact for customers and staff.  Assumes the Supervisor's duties in his/her absence.  Is involved in scheduling staff at the depot, in staff guidance, training and orientation, with a large emphasis on OH&S policies and procedures.  Completes all daily, weekly and monthly depot and payroll reports as and when needed.  Works on the floor with depot staff.

Salary: $16.58/hour
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Conditions of Employment: The incumbent is required to understand both the operational and administrative aspects of running a SARCAN depot.  The incumbent works around the depot on a daily basis.  Must continuously bend, stretch, lift and tote bulky and heavy containers.
