Description

Lean Machine is searching for a day shift (6:00am  2:30pm), CNC Laser Machine Operator that can produce finished parts and surfaces to specification from sheets of raw material. You will be required to produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) laser machine and will be required to calibrate, diagnose errors, and accurately log as necessary. You must have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment that has changing demands throughout the course of the shift.

Responsibilities:
    Operation of the CNC laser machine as per required specifications including trimming, hole, grinding, drilling, slotting and general metal cutting operations
    Knowledge of tooling and tool set up
    Able to work from work order instruction sheets, engineering drawings, spec sheets and verbal instructions
    Delivering finished parts / surfaces to other areas of the manufacturing plant
    Complete assignments and production sequences to meet production goals & schedules
    Conducts quality control by Inspection of materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
    Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
    Manage priorities as they change throughout a shift

Qualifications:
    Basic knowledge of computer operations
    Ability to read and follow written directions and understand basic shop drawings
    Basic knowledge of measuring tools such as tape measure, ruler, and meter gauges
    Proven mathematical skills and able to use precision measuring equipment
    Must have outstanding punctuality and attendance
    Ability to work according to production schedules and deadlines with attention to details
    Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills as well as the ability to handle changing demands
    Knowledge of CAD/CAM software would be considered an asset
