Description

Duties and responsibilities:
Reporting to the Program Manager and under the direction of the Senior Supervisor, the First Impressions Coordinator assists clients with developing their employability skills by coordinating and delivering various classes.  Duties include:
-    Providing various workshops to clients of Partners in Employment
-    Developing strength-based individual training plans with each participant according to session topics and identified areas to develop
-    Offering individual and group activities to help clients develop and achieve personal goals and employability skills
-    Developing strategies and recommendations to help clients achieve their goals
-    Preparing appropriate training plans, records and reports
-    Collecting and maintaining statistical information on a regular basis

Qualifications:
Education:
-    Bachelor's Degree in the human services or rehabilitation fields (i.e., Social Work, Education)
Experience:
-    Experience in adult instruction with a focus on vocational rehabilitation for three to five years is preferred
-    Knowledge of the issues faced by persons with disabilities is considered an asset
Skills:
-    Skilled instructor in both group and one-on-one settings is required, including knowledge of respectful approaches to guide and re-direct participants
-    Proficient computer skills
-    Knowledge of different learning styles and corresponding approaches to training
-    Knowledge of behavioural interventions or strategies to motivate and produce change
-    Skilled at building cohesive, supportive groups
-    Ability to express and formulate ideas and information in a clear and concise manner in both verbal and written form
-    Valid Class 5 driver's licence and use of a personal vehicle

The final candidates are required to provide satisfactory police record checks
Successful candidates are recommended to have an Auto Pak with at least 1 million dollars in liability insurance.
