Description

Under the general supervision of the Executive Director and under the direct supervision of the Home and Community Care Director; the Dietitian is primarily responsible for providing dietary counselling for the BRT6HC band members living on Reserve who are at risk for developing or have a chronic condition.

The Dietician will also provide nutrition and dietary updates for BRT6HC staff related to chronic condition prevention and care.


Qualifications Requirements:

* Bachelors of Science in Nutrition  or a  Bachelors of Science in Home Economics in  with a major in Foods and Nutrition plus a Generalist Dietetic Internship.
* Must be registered with Saskatchewan Dietitians Association
* Preference will be given to applicants with Canadian Diabetes Educator Certification
* 3  5 years experience in Diabetes Care and Education
* Must be able to work as an effective team member and to work independently, in a self- motivated manner
* Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness
* Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
* Experience in completing monthly stats and reporting
* Must possess Valid drivers license
* Previous working experience with First Nations people and demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nation people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures.
* Must provide a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector
