Description

The Melville Yorkton Housing Authority manages a property and program portfolio on behalf of the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation.  We provide affordable housing to low-income seniors, families and individuals with cognitive/physical disabilities, who could not otherwise access safe, secure shelter within the Melville Yorkton areas.

We are currently searching for a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to work in our Yorkton office, 3 days/week, 7.5 hours/day. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, good accounting knowledge with strong attention to detail, and be a team player who is adaptable to change.
The opportunity could expand into more hours in the future, depending on the needs of the business.

Responsibilities & Requirements:
-Strong administrative and accounting skills.
-Assist Management with day to day operations of the Housing Authority.
-Exceptional  interpersonal skills and professional presentation, is able to maintain confidentiality, work under pressure and use sound judgment.
-Recognition of and respect for peoples diversity and individual differences.
-Experience in a property management environment is an asset.
-Travel is required.

Qualifications:
-2+ years in an office environment (diploma/certificate in Office Administration is an asset).
-Proficient in electronic accounting systems.
-Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook; able to use photocopier, fax, and printers; overall knowledge of office systems and procedures.
-Ability to use tact and remain courteous in stressful situations.
