Description

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Business Development Coordinator will work with the St. John team to foster improved sales and increased media exposure to promote the mission, products and services of the organization.
The primary role is to prospect for new clients and plan persuasive approaches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company. They will develop marketing strategies and targets, as well as analyze the success of marketing campaigns and advertisements.

Strategic planning is a key part of this job. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market and the services SJA provides.

The main duties are as follows:

-New Business Development & Client Retention
-Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business
-Set up meetings between client and company
-Develop individualized approaches to meet client needs

Business Development Planning
-Attend industry functions and provide feedback
-Plans meetings and trade shows
-Identify opportunities to increase in sales
-Identify and develop companys unique selling propositions
-Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met.

Working Conditions:
Office setting with travel up to 50%
St. John Ambulance is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and safety of Canadians. We provide first aid training and supplies while our volunteers provide first aid coverage at events.
