The company has a career opportunity for qualified applicants at PotashCorp Rocanville, located in Southeast Saskatchewan.
Reporting to the Mine Construction General Foreman, the Mine Construction Supervisor is accountable for efficient utilization of available equipment and material to meet ore production demands. The candidate will be responsible for belt clean up, road and roof maintenance, mine ventilation, belt construction, belt reclaim and belt maintenance. This position will involve leading, coaching, mentoring, and directing the operations team, to ensure work is completed in a safe and timely manner.
The successful candidate must have a Grade 12 or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years mining experience. The candidate must have excellent supervisory, communication and organizing skills and have the proven ability to lead and develop the department, and its staff by demonstrating superior skills in coaching and mentoring. Good written and oral communication skills are required.
The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check. All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
