Parkland College is currently seeking a Facilitator for an Essential Skills program focusing on Truck and Transport. This program will take place at Pasqua First Nation.
This is a term position from January 23 - May 3, 2018 for a total of 225 hours.
This position will be responsible for developing, coordinating, delivering and facilitating the classroom component of the Essential Skills- Truck & Transport program. The program goal is to help build workforce skills within participants interested in a career in professional trucking.
Requirements:
-Two-year post-secondary diploma or equivalent in Human or Social Services or Behavioral Sciences field or a journeyperson trade certificate.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the truck and transport industry.
- Knowledge in group facilitation, adult education methodology, Essential and Counseling skills
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
- Demonstrated experience working in a cross-cultural environment
- Demonstrated experience handling sensitive issues
