Duties and responsibilities:
-ability to demonstrate knowledge in addiction(s) and their effects on the family
-ability to accurately assess addiction(s) and make appropriate treatment recovery plans
-knowledge of screening and addiction assessment tools and procedures
-knowledge of group dynamics and one/one counseling
-demonstrate knowledge of a Holistic Addiction Treatment model
-ability to develop and deliver presentations to clients/community
-ability to prepare/respond with case management treatment plans
-ability to work in dependently/multi-disciplinary team and with client case load
Qualifications
-must have a diploma in Chemical Dependency Studies
-must have a diploma in Community Addictions worker
-have a working knowledge in Inpatient Alcohol and Drug Treatment
-two (2) years continuous sobriety
-must have a valid Saskatchewan Drivers License
-preferred asset would be to speak an official language of the PAGC (Cree, Dene or Dakota)
-the successful applicant must undergo a Criminal Record Check, three results of which may influence the decision to employ
