Part Time Hardware Clerk - Term Position up to one year
Nipawin Home Centre Hardware Department
Function:
To be dependable for all scheduled shifts
To come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude
To provide outstanding guest service including product sales, recommendations and carry out service and serve guests within the standards set out in the department
To perform general housekeeping duties, receiving of merchandise, stocking shelves, operating till systems, shovelling snow, spreading salt/sand
To be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, rotation and order of merchandise in the store, yard and shed areas and to load products into customer vehicles
To have a good working understanding of the till operation (TRC System)
To stock shelves, merchandise according to standards, and create appealing product displays
To be familiar with paint, plumbing, electrical, yard and garden equipment and supplies and other builders hardware
To be familiar with and adhere to all Pineland Co-op Policies and Procedures
To perform opening and closing procedures
To provide High Performance Guest Service including pump island service and propane fueling, if assigned
To perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Grade 12 or equivalent preferred
Must be capable of heavy lifting on an ongoing basis; must have valid drivers license
Must be strongly service oriented and capable of assisting and selling to customers in a courteous and efficient manner
Working knowledge of hand & power tools, plumbing and electrical supplies, paint, builders hardware, and seasonal power equipment is an asset
Experience with yard and garden products and landscaping techniques is an asset
Applicant must be able to work opening and closing shifts, day shifts and a weekend rotation
Must be willing to obtain forklift operators certification
