ILC Ag is looking for General Farm Worker for its client located near Prelate, SK. This is a 8,400 Acres second generation family run grain farm.
Skills & Competencies required:
- The candidate will be required to have the ability to operate all farm equipment used on this farm or will be willing and capable of learning operating skills (combines, tractors, sprayers, seeders, all main equipment is equipped with GPS)
- Good general mechanical skill is required as the employee will perform equipment repairs during the winter months.
Other requirements:
-Preference will be given to candidates who have or are eligible to hold 1A driving license, although the employer will assist the employee in obtaining a license.
-The candidate must be well familiar with the pace of farm work and the requirement for long hours during harvest and seeding.
- Candidate must be well organized and be able to efficiently complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- A non-smoker is preferred, and alcohol or drug use that will affect job performance is prohibited.
- Honesty and integrity are highly valued and the employer offers an environment suitable to a candidate who is self-motivated and competent.
Wage:
-The starting wage will be $20 per hour, although this may vary according to experience.
Accommodation:
- Employer is willing to assist with housing and will provide a vehicle at no charge.
This is a full-time permanent position, open for both Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents and Overseas Candidates.
