Description

Core Ag Inputs is a local, independently owned Agriculture Retail business focused on providing high quality seed and crop protection services and support. Core Ag Inputs is seeking a seasonal Field Sales Agronomist to be responsible for managing and attracting new customers within the assigned sales territory. The Field Sales Agronomist will assist customers with the proper product selection and use based on agronomic needs. This role also includes inventory and chemical warehouse management.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing support to our agronomics business within sales territory
Establish relationships with current and prospective customers, keep up to date records in customer base
Provide customers with updates on current agronomic trends, products and services
Scout fields for all pests and evaluate product performance, discuss management recommendations with customer
Aid in the planning and executing of field tours and special events
Work with location manager to ensure inventories and services are provided to customers in a timely fashion
Assisting with the shipping and receiving of agriculture products
Maintain inventory records and ensure inventories are safely stored
Follow safe protocols and procedures at all times
Ensure chemical warehouse is clean of obstruction and debris

Requirements:
Applicants must be self motivated and have a strong interest in Agronomy
Good knowledge of crop protection products, seed and fertility (including safe handling and storage)
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
Fluent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Current First Aid, WHMIS and TDG certificates
Ability to safely operate equipment such as forklift, training may be provided
Possesses a strong set of core values and beliefs, honest, accepts responsibility for own actions
Valid drivers license must be willing to travel
Physically able to endure outdoor climates including hot or cold weather extremes
