Description

The Finance manager is the senior financial administrator for Peter Ballantyne Child & Family Services Inc.The Agency provides child and family services to our 11,000 band members living on 8 reserves in northern Saskatchewan.The Agency employs 130 professional and support staff and has an annual operating budget of $16 million.
Duties Include:
Supervision of and leadership to finance staff.
Preparation and timely delivery of financial reports.
Budget planning,implementation,monitoring and evaluation.
Establishing financial controls and procedures for the Agency that build a climate of accountability and which ensure overall effective and efficient financial management.
Providing leadership and support to the Management Team and Board of Directors related to personnel management in areas such as human resource policy,wage and salary classification,staff development and training,and staff performance evaluation.
Providing leadership to the Agency in the negotiation and management  of contracts with government and third party organizations such as contractors.
Leadership in developing,implementing and evaluation the Agency's strategic and business planning initiatives.
Providing creative leadership to the Agency in managing the organizational changes required in a dynamic economic climate.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in commerce or public administration with CPA/CGA designation or equivalent,and a minimum of five years of related experience in a senior managerial role.
Excellent analytical,problem-solving and decision-making ability.
Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office,Excel and Sage 300.
Knowledge of Woodland Cree language,culture,political and social objectives of PBCN First Nation.
