We are looking for a Senior Level Service Desk Analyst to join our Clients Information Technology team in Regina for a term, reporting to the Manager, IT Service Delivery. The Service Desk Analyst will primarily be responsible for maintaining exceptional infrastructure performance and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide frontline technical support and expertise to internal clients
Document requirements read and write technical specifications and technical mapping documents and convert them into solution designs
Keep projects on track while showing adaptability and the ability to effectively solve problems in order to deliver quality solutions to internal clients
Communicate technical issues, status, risks, and needs to all stakeholders
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Understanding and experience with change management, ITIL processes and ITSM
Understand complex scenarios and problems and provide clear resolutions
Support a technical team, including outsourced vendors through all aspects of technical execution
Strong ability to self-manage time and effort within project budgets
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong work ethic, high attention to detail and a willingness to tackle difficult and complex problems in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Familiarity in the following programs would be considered an asset: Network and Server Architecture, Microsoft Windows, Virtual Machines, Port Configuration, VPN clients; Windows/MS SQL; Certificates, Domain Name Systems, Active Directory; Microsoft IIS; and Microsoft Visio Diagram Development as well as support a mobile network including Blackberry 10 devices & IPhone.
The successful candidate must have a background in Finance IT, particularly dealing with trading, power traders, investments, pension plans or treasury is considered an asset.
