Oxford Learning is looking for an upbeat, dynamic part-time High School Math/Science teacher who wants to work in a challenging & rewarding teaching environment. Candidates must possess a strong background in Math & Science & must be comfortable teaching students in Grades 7-12 at all levels in both subjects.
We focus on cognitive personal development & look for individuals who will honour Oxford teaching methods & philosophy in a fun environment. We will train you in our innovative Interactive Coaching methods that teach students how to learn & study more effectively.
A great candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:
Must be fluent in English
Strong oral & written English skills
Experience in teaching
Be a dedicated & passionate teacher who thrives on seeing students succeed
Dynamic, upbeat & energetic personality; willing to motivate students
Highly organized, able to multitask & think on your feet
Bachelors Degree or currently in university (A Bachelor of Education, or currently enrolled in a B.Ed program will be given preference)
Must be comfortable teaching the current Grade 9-12 math & science curriculum including but not limited to advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, physics, chemistry, & biology. Preference will be given to those strong in physics.
Applicant must be available to work Fridays 4-7PM (+ Tuesdays 4-8PM starting as early as March)
