Agriculture in the Classroom Saskatchewan (AITC-SK) is dedicated to connecting kids and agriculture through curriculum-based programs and resources. To achieve this, AITC-SK liaises with the agriculture and education sectors across Saskatchewan to develop and deliver quality teaching resources and organize hands-on outreach programs for students. We are seeking an individual who is knowledgeable about agriculture, science, and biotechnology. Must be willing to travel across Saskatchewan to deliver Ag Education to high school students.
The Programs Assistant will be responsible for organizing and coordinating the logistics for their program. The ideal candidate will have the skills and personality necessary to build and maintain strong relationships with partner organizations, industry presenters, volunteers, teachers, funders, and other AITC staff. A solid background, experience, and understanding of agriculture will be a strong asset. Experience in a science laboratory setting and strong foundational science knowledge needed.
The successful Program Assistant will have skills and experience in program/event management and the ability to understand the education curriculum. The Programs Assistant will be responsible for developing and delivering presentations at various programs as well as in the classroom. The ideal candidate will be based out of Saskatoon or Regina; other locations will be considered. Regular travel around the province will be required.
