The Swift Current Child Care Centre is currently accepting applications for an Early Childhood Educator. Our hours of operation are 6:30 am to 6:30 pm Monday to Friday, with Statutory Holidays off.
In order to apply you MUST: be 18 years of age or older, have or be able to acquire CPR 'C' and Standard First Aid as well as produce a Criminal Record Check.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess Early Childhood Education I, II or III or who have or are entering into post secondary education in a related field or who are willing to take the 3 classes required to gain your ECE 1 certification. We offer competitive wages and Benefits after 3 months.

- First Aid Certificate
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
- Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree
Early Childhood Education Skills
- Provide opportunity for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play and music
- Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities
- Prepare progress reports and discuss with parents and other staff members
- Plan and develop child care and nursery school programs
- Assess the developmental level of children
- Knowledge of licensing regulations
Additional Skills
- Maintain day care supplies and equipment
- Assist in housekeeping duties
- Assist in maintaining records of children
Security and Safety
