Our Birthday Party Host is dedicated to providing a fun party atmosphere, providing timely service and, ensuring our guests have a memorable party and gaming experience. We are looking for individuals who are warm and welcoming, who enjoy interacting with groups of people of all ages, who can think quickly on their feet and possess strong problem solving skills. Qualified individuals must be meticulous, outgoing and enjoy working with and helping others. This is a part-time position and the successful candidate must be available to work on weekends and stat holidays.
Responsibilities
-Be proactive in preparing for and meeting the needs of our guests parties to ensure a positive experience.
-Greet customers and provide a friendly, warm and welcoming environment.
-Register guests and take payments in a quick and accurate manner.
-Provide assistance for customers playing console, PC and virtual reality games.
-Coordinate multi-player games, run tournaments, etc.
-Take photos and manage social media content.
-Help decorate party area / table(s) to celebration standard (tablecloth, napkins, plates, cups and balloons).
-Make each party an exciting event that guarantees our guests spread the word about how wonderful their party experience was.
-Make suggestions for drink and food, using salesmanship to increase sales.
-Maintain the general cleanliness of the party area by, among other tasks, cleaning food debris and drink spills.
-Maintain a thorough working knowledge of our P.O.S. and numerous gaming systems.
-Promote The Matrix Gaming Centre and the entertainment options of the venue.
-Follow service guidelines in highly distracting circumstances.
-Be proactive in offering assistance to guests who need it and remain with guests, when needed, until problems are solved.
-Maintain above average concern for cleanliness and hygiene - both personal and professional.
-Must be a Canadian citizen & resident
