Description

The Senior Technical Web Developer provides technical direction, vendor support and hands-on support.  This person also acts as the communicator for the rest of the technical team.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Act as solution architect and provide technical direction
Support and represent the other members of the technical team
Provide vendor support for the maintenance and enhancements to the website
Perform web development tasks for various ancillary components
Participate as a developer
Understand various statistical capturing mechanisms, and be able to investigate, maintain and enhance them
Have an in-depth understanding of banner management system and auxiliary components, and provide support for these
Provide technical direction in the ongoing pursuit to improve search functions
Guide the evolution and act as a developer for bug fixes and enhancements
Provide insight, guidance and support for the evolution of the apps and website
Support the operation during regular business hours and after hours
Manage application deployments using TFS and AWS CodeDeploy

Requirements:
Computer Science degree or comparable tech school degree/diploma
10+ years experience as a web developer using VB.NET and C#.NET
10+ years experience as a web developer using PHP
10+ years experience with common databases (ie. Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL)
5+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services
Experience with AWS development and infrastructure tools
Experience with Revive Adserver
Experience with both Microsoft and Linux servers
3+ years experience with Microsoft TFS
Experience implementing a custom Google Analytics solution
Practical experience with SEO strategies and implementations
Experience with Workfront an asset
Experience within the directory publishing/local search/marketing services industry an asset
Some knowledge of Solr 6
