Description

The Town of Pilot Butte is currently accepting applications for a permanent full-time Facility Operator.

The Town is a vibrant community conveniently located just 8km east of the City of Regina with a current population of 2137. The diversity of our residents and their willingness to give back to their community represents only a small portion of the spirit and drive that sustains our foundation as a whole.

Working under the Director of Public Works and Maintenance Operations, the successful applicant will:
Be required to have a valid Class 5 license (drivers abstract will be required),

Provide a vulnerable sector check,

Have knowledge and certification to operate ice resurfacer and other specialized equipment,

Be required to perform daily operating assignments and equipment maintenance,

Maintain accurate equipment logs and maintenance forms,

Maintain outdoor rink/warm up building,

Maintain a positive relationship with user groups  good customer service approach,

Setup and take down equipment for special events,

Assume responsibility for safe operation of the facility during a scheduled shift,

Perform janitorial duties,

Perform all other assigned duties as required.

WHMIS, First Aid/CPR and Arena 1 are preferred qualifications.

Prior knowledge and experience with facility maintenance and custodial/janitorial duties and related skills will be considered an asset.

This position contains shift work that is currently works 4 (10 hours shifts) then 3 (days off).  These shifts consist of nights and weekends from Sept to March.
