Shayil Home is a residency-based addictions program where women and their children can come to a safe environment, living in community with other women who are on similar journeys. It's faith based program.
Duties include:
- The Shayil Home Assistant Manager will be responsible for Resources Management; food, janitorial supplies, office supplies, etc. This includes daily meal planning (menu preparation), food purchases, creating and submitting donation need lists to Marketing, etc.
- The Shayil Home Assistant Manager will supervise the Program Cook.
- The AM (Assistant Manager) will be responsible for the general management of Shayil Home (such as building walkthroughs, adding maintenance requests to the maintenance task list, minor maintenance repairs such as changing bulbs,etc.)
- Given the nature of rescue ministry work,there may from time to time, be incidents that require extra attention, and as such, the Assistant Manager may need to call outside sources such as the police or mobile crisis, for assistance, if and as required.
- All interactions with students, volunteers, and other staff, will be rooted in dignity of person, conveying their worth and value.
- In conjunction with the Shayil Home Manager, the Assistant Manager will oversee the Shayil Home Womens Addiction Program Budget.
- AM will be responsible for the development of a weekly student chore list.
- AM will ensure that the staff (shift supervisors) carry out regular drug/alcohol tests, and random room checks.
- AM will drive students to various program events as needed, and they may be asked to pick up donations if needed.
- AM will assist in the planning and coordinating of various Shayil home events; such as Student Grads, Birthdays, Christmas, etc.
