Job Purpose
Delivers comprehensive financial plans for members within a defined target segment. Develops financial plans based on industry standards and guidelines, as well as acts as a consultant to members and potential members. Manages a portfolio of member financial plans, conducts regular reviews and provides ongoing advice. Expands and retains investments and wallet share, measured through successful referrals. Drives referrals to other Specialists and service providers in alignment with internal guidelines to Spectra Financial, Credential Financial Strategies, or Credential Securities Inc. Mobility is important for this role as this position is responsible for retaining and growing member relationships within the community and across a defined region.
Working Conditions
Because Affinity serves members in communities across Saskatchewan, this position will require the successful candidate to travel between locations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, plus 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Financial Planning Designation (CFP or PFP, or equivalent)
- Completion of a mutual funds course (CSC, IFIC, or equivalent) and maintenance of registration eligibility
- Experience in providing expert financial planning advice, as well as providing quality member-centric referrals to other financial solutions experts
- Experience with using a broad range of digital devices (i.e., smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.) and on-line investment solutions
