Description

As the demand for our horticulture products continues to be ever-increasing, Premier Tech Horticulture (PTH) is evolving with intention, focus and vision.  We strive to continually grow and develop our team members, our clients and our global footprint and in doing so we participate in feeding, health and beautifying the world.  

Our PTH team is seeking an Agricultural Supervisor with strong coaching and leadership skills, who can motivate a team to deliver their best.  In this role, you will be the first leader within the peat harvesting process, who oversees the safe and efficient collection of raw materials as per specifications and budget.

The Carrot River operations includes a production facility and three (3) bogs within a 1 hour driving radius. This role is to oversee the operations for one of the three bogs.

Being an Agricultural Supervisor with PT means

- Being responsible for ensuring safe work practices and working conditions for our team members and that the equipment is maintained within operational and safety standards;
- Assigning, coordinating and supervising team member tasks in activities related to bog opening and preparation, building roads and infrastructure, harvesting, transferring, shipping and storing harvested peat;
- Reviewing production objectives, establishing action plans, partnering with key stakeholders and clearly communicating plans into action and results;
- Participating and implementing continuous improvement initiatives;
- Recruiting, team member development and performance management; and
- Being mechanically adept to understand how to maximize the availability and usage of materials and equipment, but to also anticipate and coordinate their repair and/or replacement.
