Description

Tourism Saskatchewan is a Treasury Board Crown Corporation with the mission to connect people with quality Saskatchewan experiences and advance the development of successful tourism operations.

This position plays a key role serving the organization in the development of public policy, facilitation of strategic planning and research and analysis leading to recommendations of solutions.  As a support to senior management, this position provides policy advice and services on responses to critical issues and priorities, program options and accountability and reporting, often liaising with various government ministries. The position also plays a key role in facilitation of innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.  The Senior Policy Analyst provides evaluation of ongoing program results for senior management.

We are looking for a candidate who has a Masters degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or a related discipline or who has a relevant combination of education and experience working in the field of public policy. The successful candidate will have experience with Cabinet Decision and Information Items as well as Ministerial briefs. A comprehensive knowledge of public policy as it applies to the tourism industry in Saskatchewan and Canada is an asset. This out-of-scope position requires a demonstrated ability to keep information confidential, conduct research analysis and possess superior written and verbal communication and editing skills to convey effectively the work of Tourism Saskatchewan in a clear and understandable manner to a broad audience.
