Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The main purpose of this role is to oversee the activities of Maintenance Coordination department and Coordinators ensuring optimal allocation of resources based on plant-wide customer priorities and safety practices. Responsibilities include ensuring and monitoring 7-day week availability to provide customers with necessary coordination of resources in support of Maintenance service requirements to Operations. Continuous consultation with Sr. Planner/Scheduler, Section Supervisor Maintenance Trades, and counterparts in the Operations Department will be a part of the role.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include, but are not limited to, collaborating with Operations counterparts to identify plant-wide priorities and ensuring plant maintenance activities are coordinated and executed safely, efficiently, and in a cost-effective manner. Duties will also include monitoring for plant-wide consistency in the delivery of maintenance services, driving the continuous improvement of maintenance systems, and participating in training and professional development on current maintenance and operation-related topics.


QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications include a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Technical Diploma or Trade Certificate with a minimum ten years experience in maintenance, plant/process engineering, or in an applicable industrial trade. Three to five years experience with project planning and scheduling preferred. Maintenance Management Profession (MMP) designation or similar would be considered an asset.
