Atlwest Communications (a division of Atlheritage) specializes in designing and facilitating effective Stakeholder and Indigenous Engagement, Public Relations, Communications Strategies and Partnership Building.  We support our clients in the Mining, Oil & Gas, Infrastructure and Power Industries as well at the civic level including Municipalities, Indigenous Communities and Non-for-profits.

The Senior Communications Analyst (SCA) reports directly to the Director of Communications and has the responsibility of managing client public relations accounts, creating communication and stakeholder engagement strategies and facilitating meetings, forums and events.  In addition, the SCA will be responsible for developing relationships with identified stakeholders, report and proposal writing, attaining feedback, building trust and fostering partnerships.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Coordinating the implementation of focused engagement activities and ensures quality and consistency of engagement and consultative processes
-Developing effective relationships and partnerships with municipal governments, Indigenous communities, internal and external stakeholders
-Develop and implement public relation strategies
-Attend and facilitate stakeholder meetings, coordinate public information
-Completing proposals and cost estimates
-Business development

Qualifications:
-University graduate in a related field
-Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible related experience in engagement, communications, strategy, and policy development
-IAP2 certification is considered an asset
-Ability to work independently, leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate with regulators
-Superior verbal and written communication skills including technical report writing
-Strong business management skills including business development and commitment to customer service
-Ability to establish priorities and to work well under time pressure and constraints
