Description

Position title:  Head Caterer
Reports to:  Operations Manager/Owner
Salary:  TBD
Hours of work:  approx. 40 hours a week, as determined by workload; some degree of flexibility required, especially during Christmas season.
Length of position:  permanent, following a three (3) month probation period
Start date:  as soon as possible

Evolution Catering is growing. We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking person to fill the position of Head Caterer. Were looking for a creative, motivating professional who doesnt mind contributing to prep work or delivering food when necessary, but who wont be afraid to delegate.
The Main purpose of the role will be to facilitate the daily functions of Evolution Caterings food service, including  but not limited to:
food preparation, cooking, and service delivery
off-site event management
menu planning for events, suppers to go, and appetizers to go
Maintain inventory levels and conduct full weekly inventory
Order supplies, food and ingredients based on rapidly shifting demand
Schedule and oversee necessary maintenance and repairs on kitchen appliances
Assist with menu changes and adjustments based on seasonal availability
Respond personally to guest questions
You will also help when needed at Tangerine:  the food bar, Schoolhaus Culinary Arts, and Tangerine in the Valley.

5+ years culinary experience
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Capable of conducting and assessing restaurant inventory
Willing to work a flexible schedule
Experience with delegating tasks and maintaining fast speed of service
Food Safe Certificate
Safely lift up to 50lb
Valid Drivers License
