This position works directly with the Service Manager and ensures the service department runs smoothly on a daily basis. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm.
Responsibilities Include:
- Regulate flow of service work through department
- Prioritize work according to promise times, comebacks, waiters, etc.
- Notify Technicians when special order parts arrive
- Schedule shop work as efficiently as possible
- Assign and remove work to and from technicians
- Monitor repair opers as they flow to and from the tower and technicians
- Verify work orders are turned in by technicians to ensure repair orders are filled out properly and assigned work is complete
- Make certain that work orders are closed on a timely basis
- Ensure warranty time allotments on repair orders are accurate for warranty repairs
- Monitor the overall productivity of shop
- Ensure that time promises are met and alert Service Advisors and Salespeople of any delays
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Management
