Description

Under the supervision of the CEO, the Director of Development has a primary responsibility of planning and leading YWCA Reginas Fund Development Program including an Annual Campaign, a Capital Campaign and an Endowment Program. The Director of Development also provides support to and plays a critical role in assisting the CEO with building relationships and positioning YWCA Regina as a charity worthy of support. The Director of Development will work cooperatively with the CEO to establish fund development targets and work plans and will work with and support committees, stakeholders and sponsors to ensure that goals and targets are met.  In addition, the Director of Development will organize the campaign office and campaign systems.  


Responsibilities include:

Fund Development: In collaboration with the CEO, the Director of Development will be responsible for preparing the Campaign Plan and Campaign Case.  In addition, the Director of Development will develop and implement a set of proven practices including organizing the campaign office and campaign systems to provide accurate records controls and reporting systems. The Director will identify, qualify, cultivate and solicit top level potential donors. The Director is also responsible for preparing accurate and timely reports to ensure all volunteers and leadership are up to date on the campaigns progress.


Public Relations/ Communications: The Director of Development will work with the Director of Communication to develop a comprehensive communication plan.  In addition, the Director of Development will engage in professional communication with committees, stakeholders and donors on behalf of YWCA executive offices.
