Position Description

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Childrens Housing, the Case Coordinator develops and implements programs that positively impact and benefit children aged 0-12 years who reside in this new facility. This position works in collaboration with child support staff and the Manager to create a team environment and is responsible for all aspects of case management and case planning.
Responsibilities:

This position will work with Child Support Workers to develop age-appropriate programming for children including:
    Maintain current knowledge of relevant program development and evaluation tools;
     Ensure that the proper care, supervision and safety is provided to each child;
    Ensure case planning and management as outlined by the childrens MSS worker is implemented and followed;
    Ensure there is documentation with the children on each shift;
     Maintain a high standard of health and safety procedures;
    Coordinate case conferencing and long term goal for children

Qualifications:
    A working knowledge of program needs, development and implementation.;
    Ability to provide leadership in a team environment, strong problem solving skills, good oral and written communication skills, ability to deal with high stress situations, excellent presentation and negotiation skills, ability to work effectively with a supervisory team and the Director;
    A degree and/or 5 years of experience working in the Human Services field;
    Extensive knowledge of case management and case planning practices;
    A sound knowledge of child development;
    A sound knowledge of human behaviour and counseling theories;
    Must be able to pass required security clearance, have a valid Saskatchewan drivers license.
