Description

Reporting to the Controller, the accountant is responsible for assisting in the management of the financial and inventory systems and records for North West Terminal Ltd.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, invoicing for grain movement, variance analysis, various regulatory filings, assisting with the external audit and providing intercompany support to various NWT teams.

The ideal candidate will possess a CPA designation or will be working towards a designation, and/or Bachelor of Commerce Degree or Business Administration Diploma with a major in accounting.They will have a minimum of 2 years experience in accounting, be proficient with MS Office, demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and have proven mathematical and organizational skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail and will efficiently prioritize responsibilities within tight deadlines in a fast paced team-oriented environment.
