Facility: Meadow Lake Primary Care Clinic
Job Description: As a member of a multidisciplinary primary health care team, the Mental Health Therapist-Staff is responsible for providing general mental heatlh and substance use services to patients, including screening, assessment and brief intervention using various established screen tools, treatment modalities and techniques based on best available evidence.  The incumbent must have strong proven clinical skills and be able to make independent clinical decisions.  Access to a clinical supervisor is limited.

The incumbent will also participate in the evaluation of counseling services, in the development of referral processes and assist in the development of policy and procedures relevant to the Mental Health Therapist-Staff position.
Required Qualifications

Registered or eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Bachelor Degree in Social Work or Bachelor Degree in Psychology. Other degrees in human services (i.e. nursing) may be considered with extensive experience in counseling.
Experience
Experience:  Minimum one year clinical counseling experience.  A minimum of one year work experience in a mental health setting and/or human services agency.
