Responsibilities:
1. Provide instruction in Literacy and Adult Education Literacy Levels 1-4. The successful candidate may be required to teach in other subject areas based on program needs.
2. Manage the classroom to ensure an optimum learning environment promoting digital literacy.
3. Plan and deliver learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs and contributions of a culturally diverse community.
4. Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students.
5. Maintain records of achievement, attendance and other student-related information and report such information as required.
6. Identify resources and equipment appropriate to support curriculum/course implementation.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Education or an equivalent.
2. Valid Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate.
3. Through a combination of training and/or teaching experience, subject specialization in Communications.
4. Effective communication skills (written and oral).
5. Effective interpersonal skills.
6. Effective instructional ability.
7. Ability to work with individuals with special learning needs.
8. Demonstrates valuing diversity.
