Description

Will follow financial accounting and reporting and financial management policies and procedures according to the YTCCFS Inc. Finance Policy.  Responsible for providing guidance, support and direction to staff to ensure consistent and timely service delivery with the prime objective of meeting the needs of children in care from our member First Nations.  Responsible for understanding and analyzing the accounting process, monitoring financial accounting and management issues and conceptualizing alternatives; recommending appropriate options and solutions and preparing & providing comprehensive reports.
Education:
Professional accounting designation and significant experience in financial management.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Will have:
Extensive knowledge of financial planning and reporting
Demonstrated ability to apply financial accounting practices and principles according to the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Supervisory and leadership skills in order to provide direction and guidance to staff in a respectful and understanding manner
Conflict resolution, mediation and relationship building experience
Ability to implement and lead program development utilizing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent verbal & written skills
Experience in a computerized environment.
Ability for critical management in ambiguous or unfavorable situations.
Ability to provide support in the development of accountability & quality assurance mechanisms
Employment prerequisites:
Valid Sask. Driver's License
Must sign an Oath of Confidentiality.
Candidates selected for an interview required to provide Current Criminal Record Check, Prohibited Drug Test Report certified by a member in good standing of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Sask. and proof of education upon attending the interview.
