Description

KGS Group is seeking a Mechanical Piping Engineer to join our well established Industrial Mechanical department in Regina, SK. In this position, you will undertake a design role within the department reporting directly to the Department Head. You will participate in piping design, performing piping stress analysis calculations, developing specifications, and day-to-day project work associated with industrial piping projects. In depth knowledge of CSA, ASME, API, and other piping codes is a must.  You will be working in a friendly and collaborative environment with opportunity to interface with other members of the department and other disciplines within the Regina office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Designing modifications to, or entirely new, mechanical systems related to mines, thermal power generating stations, refineries, chemical processing plants and oil/gas facilities;
Evaluation of existing piping installations and making recommendations for improvements to routing and/or supports;
Projects will include a variety of small to large projects involving ASME Code Piping/Pressure Vessels in the industrial sectors;
Piping Stress Analysis to be completed using Caesar II software;
Performing ASME Code Calculations for developing or modifying piping specifications based on process conditions;
Working collaboratively with lead mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and piping designers to ensure pipe support requirements are detailed on piping fabrication isometric drawings;
Working collaboratively with other disciplines to execute project deliverables, as well as ensuring that quality objectives, schedules and budgets are met;

 

Skills and Abilities

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
 - Licensing by a provincial or territorial association of professional engineers
