Job Title: General Farm Workers (NOC 8431)

Norenda Ag Inc. is a large family run farm located in the rural area near Gerald, SK, growing mainly canola, wheat and flax. We currently have two (2) job openings for General Farm Workers (NOC 8431).
Employment type: Permanent, full time (40h/week)

Salary/benefits: $18.00 per hour, vacation pay: 5.769% of gross salary, WCB, extended health benefits
Position Summary: Reporting to the foreman, the General Farm Worker will assist in the day-to-day operations of the farm.
Duties include:
Plant, fertilize, cultivate, spray, and harvest crops
Operate, maintain and repair farm machinery and equipment
Help maintain health of crops
Clean seed
Help manage grain inventories by monitoring, moving, blending, etc.
Maintain, repair and clean buildings
Maintain roads and farmyards (mowing, grading, trimming, spraying, plow snow, etc)
Requirements:
This position does require at least 2 years relevant hands on experience. Priority is given to candidates with high school diploma followed by additional education or courses in agricultural, heavy or light mechanics or other relevant courses. Ability to carry out maintenance and repairs on farm equipment is necessary.
