Aldon Oils Ltd. is an E&P company based in Weyburn, Saskatchewan with operations in SE Saskatchewan. The company has an exciting opportunity available for an energetic person looking to work for a growing company.
Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant will assist in maintaining the accounting records of the company. This position will also provide support for tasks related to accounts payable and receivable, and tax.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with month end & year-end financial reporting & analysis.
- Transaction processing for accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Working with the Controller & Management to ensure accounting records are accurate.
- Assist to ensure accountability of all expenditures and revenues.
- Preparation of monthly bank & account reconciliations.
- Payments, remittances and correspondence with tax agencies.
- Perform other responsibilities as required or as assigned.
The ideal candidate:
- An accounting degree or diploma.
- +3 years of relevant financial accounting experience.
- Experience with Simply Accounting, QuickBooks and or Qbyte considered an asset.
- Detail oriented and takes initiative.
- Confident and effective communication (written & verbal).
