Description

Summary:
On behalf of the Board of Directors, the Program Director of the Residential Care Home is responsible for the comprehensive management of the Residential Care Home. The program coordinator manages all aspects of the program strictly within the policies and guidelines as set by the Native Coordinating Council Board of Directors. The Program Coordinator reports directly to the Program Director.

Qualifications:
A working knowledge of both administrative and program needs, financial planning and management procedures, combined with advanced skills in personnel management. Knowledge of family residential agency operations. Ability to provide leadership in a team environment, strong problem solving skills, mediation skills, good oral and written communication skills, excellent presentation and negotiating skills as well as the following:

- Knowledge in administration of management field.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal relation skills.
- Knowledge of human behavior.
- Knowledge in organizational, financial management, nonprofit management and program development and delivery.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Ability to work in a residential setting.
- Ability to deal with high stress situations.
- Able to work in a supportive role with staff.
- Must be flexible.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be empathetic and compassionate in different situations.
- Must be able to conduct business in a professional manner at all times.
- Must hold and maintain a valid Saskatchewan Driver's license and dependable vehicle.
- Must provide security clearances prior to offer of employment.
- Knowledge of Aboriginal Culture.
- Social Work degree or 3 years relevant experience.
- Sound documentation skills.
- Assist training and working with challenging behaviors an asset.
