This position is available at any of our locations; Saskatoon, Regina, Moose Jaw or Prince Albert.

Responsibilities:
The Senior Database Administrator is highly skilled in the design, configuration, implementation and maintenance of Saskatchewan Polytechnics enterprise database architecture. Senior Database Administrators have a high degree of expert knowledge in technologies related to enterprise relational database management and enterprise resource planning (ERP) ecosystems. This position is relied upon to provide expert technical guidance, direction and instruction to projects, management, team members and clients.
Main job duties include:
Database management
Design, implement and configure Oracle and SQLServer databases
Manage relational database management systems and data warehouses
Manage database security and access control
Perform data backup and recovery
Monitor and maintain the health, performance and integrity of database systems
ERP ecosystem administration
Middle-tier application server administration
Deployment, configuration and testing of ERP system installs, upgrades and integration.

Qualifications:
The successful applicant for this position will have a minimum two year diploma from a recognized institution in Information Technology (foreign education must have Canadian equivalency certification) along with five years of progressive experience within an enterprise information technology environment in the areas of database administration, ERPecosystem administration, or relational database application development. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
